Watercolour florals with a pen overlay
This piece began as a watercolour, in fact i at first intended to leave it as just a watercolour but after a while of looking at it i decided it needed the figurative pen overlay treatment that i so much enjoy at the moment.
I like the structure of this piece, the way the flowers are bunched together with a natural spray outwards. I didn't use any inspiration flowers or photos for this one, it just sort of appeared on the page; which often happens when i'm painting.
This piece is now mounted and in my studio on display and has also been turned into a card print that is proving popular. Card prints are available here, or in my studio.
